A preliminary screen of a home’s surroundings, kept on the record: what maps show, what they do not, and what to take to a visit.
No overall score. No overall verdict. A reading names map-supported patterns and leaves uncertainty where it belongs.
01 / INTAKE
Start with a place.
Give HomeField a listing URL or an address. The address is geocoded to the home’s coordinates. Those coordinates are the center of the screen—not a claim that every pin, parcel edge, or building outline is exact.

03Map context around the homeSCREEN AREA
Coordinates are approximate. They can orient the map, but they cannot establish the real entrance, gate, frontage, or true facing.
02 / MAP LAYER
Read the setting, not a destiny.
HomeField reads public map data from OpenStreetMap around the home: road form, mapped water, building geometry, nearby land uses, and the wider setting. It screens those forms through form-school feng-shui factor families.
The resulting question is deliberately practical. A road’s line can suggest where movement, lights, sightlines, or noise meet the frontage. A mapped channel can show a relation worth checking. A close building edge can be measured. These are prompts to look, not predictions about people or outcomes.
Classical terms keep the vocabulary precise; the map supplies only what it can support. HomeField reads maps, not fate.
There is no overall score and no overall verdict. Findings arrive worst-first, so attention goes to the calls that need a visit—not to a reassuring or alarming number. Most checked families are usually clear. That spread is part of the evidence, not a missing drama.
Each finding carries a state, confidence level, 五行 element, plain explanation, its classical tradition, a general 化解 note, and the map evidence that grounds the call: the actual mapped feature plus its distance and bearing.
ILLUSTRATIVE FINDING ANATOMY · NOT A PROPERTY VERDICT
A mapped building edge aims toward the home. The classical term is 壁刀: an edge like a blade. In ordinary terms, confirm whether it actually meets a window, door, light, or outlook on site.
MAP EVIDENCEBuilding wall edge · 28 m away · NE (63°) · measured alignment within 2°.
TRADITION + 化解壁刀 is a form-school prompt. A screen or planting may soften a cut side; first confirm the real relationship in person.

“Clear” means no flagged pattern in the covered map layer. It never means a real-world feature is proven absent.
04 / BOUNDARY
What the map cannot settle.
This is a preliminary screen, not an on-site inspection or a prediction. It is not professional, legal, medical, or financial advice; never a statement about a home’s worth or a person’s future.
01
OSM is incomplete. An absent mapped feature is not proof that the feature is absent in the world.
02
Coordinates are approximate. They locate a working center; they do not replace surveying, site context, or a visit.
03
Entrance and 門面 need eyes on site. Maps rarely know the true door, gate, threshold, planting, or lived frontage.
04
True facing needs a direct check. Use a compass on site—or the extension with a photo—to establish the actual facing before any directional reading.
MAP PROVENANCE · Readings draw on public map data from OpenStreetMap. Coverage and mapped geometry vary by place and time.
